3-24 -- 4-11/ THREE WEEKS OF BLOGS

Okay, gang:  Here is blog for next three weeks – up until SPRING BREAK (Yes, I AM screaming in JOY!) During this interim we will read and discuss sci fi literature (Fahrenheit 451); we will complete the grammar house and punctuation rules, most of which are based on grammar structures, which you now – if you have learned everything – should understand; we will be rounding out our vocabulary and roots study; there are a number of tests scheduled.  Look ahead.

 

Mon., 3-24:  ALL BLKS: vocab 12 test;

Mon., 3-31: ALL BLKS: CTP tests 2-8 grades; this should be “A” day: there will be NO vocab 10-12 test due to snow days and my desire to finish the vocab book; today, you have vocab 13 test.

Tues., 4-1 ALL BLKS: CTP tests 2-8 grades; this should be “A” day; SSWEs due; FACULTY MEETING; clauses/punctuation and diagramming;

3-18 -- 3-28 Blog revision

 

Tues., 3-18:  BLKS: 2,4,3: All blocksTURN IN CATCHER ESSAYS AND BOOKS; be sure you put both of these in my hands – not on my desk and not on the floor; if it does not come to me and later is not in my stack, that means you did not turn it in…  Ms. Fields, have outside reading quizzes done re: censored book and book by African-American writer; adverb clauses/diagramming/punctuation.

Wed., 3-19:  BLKS 2,7,6,3: vocab 11 test; hand out new SSWE/editing/ or critical reading, due 4-23; clauses/punctuation. NO HOMEWORK NIGHT…if you have paced yourself accordingly you should not have anything to do for LA tonight…The study for the vocab test could have been done several days earlier…If you are studying and your parent remarks about no homework night, be sure to ‘fess up – and admit that you could have taken care of/were advised to take care of vocab study and vocab workbook prep many days earlier…
