Mon., 12-5:  All BLKS Written work for coming of age/minority writer is due; have instruction sheet stapled to the top/follow all instructions carefully.  SPEAK 4 discussion may continue or may be complete.  We always fill in with grammar, analogies, diagramming, contextual reading, or SSWE.

Tues., 12-6:  BLKS 1, 3  M. F. hands out The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds.  You may get together with a few students and read aloud or read play and all italicized parts re: setting, etc. by yourselves.  The play should be read by 12-13 (BLKS. 1,3) and by 12-15 (BLKS 6,7).  We always fill in with grammar, analogies, diagramming, contextual reading, or SSWE.

Mon., 3-6:  A day/all BLKS  Values/mini unit integrated lessons.  On this day, you will bring the most valued item you have.  Be ready to discuss where it came from, why it is so valuable.  This is a HW assignment; 0 will be given to anyone who does not show up with a “real” item of value: if you forget, you may not take off tennis shoe and try to pass it off as item of great value…  Should your valued item be a family heirloom or have some great monetary and/or invaluable sentimental vale, so much so that you want me to keep it in my room during the day – and you agree to pick it up after school – then I will be glad to secure that item under this agreement…I, too, will bring an item of value and start off the discussion…
