Subject: Proposed information for Jami's sendoff e- mail

Hello Faculty,

There is a small group planning an end of year send-off for Jamie.  We have come up with a few ideas for a bittersweet goodbye.  Please read this e-mail carefully and respond to the appropriate person so we can include everyone in the planning.  Jamie is probably expecting something but we would like to keep the plans confidential.  The good-bye event will occur between 1:00-3:00 on June 2 in our media center.

First and most importantly, we are going to put together a Jeopardy Game for Jamie and we NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE with this!!!  We are requesting that each teacher submit 3 memories of a funny, standout experience with Jamie.  Jamie will have to guess the teacher or the student; Example:

Question:  The student who came to school dressed like Joan Blumenfeld on Purim?   Answer: Who is Greg Praver

Question:  What was the name of Peter's dog?  Answer: What is Amanda

These questions can be funny or serious, we will design categories later when we accumulate the questions.  Please send your questions to JOAN BLUMENFELD by May 20 (follow the Q/A format shown above).  If you have questions regarding you Jeopardy contribution please speak to Joan, Susan, Andra or Martha

We are all going to honor Jamie by wearing his favorite thing so get busy finding your FLANNEL SHIRT!!! On June 2 we all plan on showing up in the media center in our shorts, flip flops/sandals and flannel shirt.  We are going to take an all staff picture for Jamie.

We are giving Jamie a memory book, each faculty person will receive one piece of paper which will become your page in the memory book.  You may write a story, a poem, music lyrics, add photos, draw, color whatever you want, front and back side of the paper.  All the pages will come together to be Jamie's Davis memory book.  Andra will distribute and collect the memory pages.  We will need your memory page by Wednesday May 28.

During the student awards ceremony we will have 2/3 students speak to Jamie and honor him for his years of service as our Principal.

Since no party is complete without food, and this faculty meeting follows our PTO lunch we are asking for dessert contributions!!!  Please let Susan Fields know if you have a scrumptious dessert you would like to bring.

Last but not least we will be making a donation to The Davis Academy in Jamie's honor.  This will be the only end of year collection we will make – an envelope will be placed in the 2nd floor faculty room or you may bring your money directly to Martha.   There is no minimum or maximum suggestion and the donation will be made in name of Jamie Kudlats from The 2013/2014 Middle School Faculty.  Submit cash or write a check to Martha Chatlen.  If you write a check make it Payable to Martha Chatlen.
